Drivers Direct Recruitment are seeking dedicated HGV Class 1 Drivers to join or clients team who are based in Poole.

Hours of work:

Night Shifts Available
Monday to Friday Shifts available

Salary

Up to £19 per hour.

The Role:

General Haulage on a HGV Class 1 vehicles.
Delivering to businesses commercial and customer addresses.
Deliveries are palletised.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Safely driving company vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
Comply with HGV driving rules and regulations as well as company policies.

Essential Skills:

Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
Minimum of 6 months HGV 1 experience required (due to insurance stipulations).
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations.
Have a safe driving record.
No more than 6 minor penalty points (due to insurance stipulations).
No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes (due to insurance stipulations).
