Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design and a love for flowers and plants. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the shop's aesthetic. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers and understand their needs will be essential in delivering exceptional service.

Duties

Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, funerals, and special events.
Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their preferences and budgets.
Maintain the shop’s inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality.
Sell floral products and provide information about care instructions to customers.
Organise the display of flowers and plants to enhance the shop's visual appeal.
Communicate effectively with customers in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the shop.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Florist or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills to manage inventory and shop displays efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
A passion for gardening and knowledge of various flower types and their care requirements.
Ability to work well under pressure during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Creative flair with an understanding of design principles related to floral arrangements.
